Jack worked in sales at Empire Comfort Systems, Belleville, IL, before his retirement. He was a member of Belleville/Swansea Moose Lodge 1221, Belleville Elks Lodge 481, and was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Belleville Council 1028.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Elizabeth J. “Betty”, nee Traub, Karr, who died February 10, 2017; and his parents, Joseph and Juanita, nee Jones, Karr.
Surviving are two sons, Kevin Karr,
and Adam “Andy” (Julie) Karr;
a daughter, Mimi Karr;
three grandchildren, Adam (Christina) Karr,
Michael Karr (fiancée, Katie Wilburn),
and Lauren Hummel;
a great-granddaughter on the way, Olivia Karr;
a brother, Joseph “Mickey” (Marilyn) Karr;
a sister, Martha Karr;
and nieces and nephews.
Jack’s family would like to thank the entire staff at Mercy for their professionalism, amazing compassion, and support for the Karr family.
