Mrs. Doane worked for the farm bureau in Carmi, IL, as a bookkeeper for ten years. She was a cheerleader in grade school and high school. That enthusiasm continued as Janet was a supportive partner to her husband, Rev. Dennis Doane, and was always an active member of any church he was assigned to. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Dorothy, nee Chapman, Hase.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Dennis L. Doane, whom she married on November 24, 1955;
two sons, Pastor David (Cindy) Doane of Lafayette, IN,
and Pastor Mark (Karen) Doane of Centralia, IL;
a daughter, Melissa (Gary) Peel of O’Fallon, IL;
and four grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2017, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Rev. James Sloan officiating.
Burial will be at St. Paul United Church of Christ Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL.
