Janet Marie Docter, nee Schwartz, 67, of Belleville, IL, born March 13, 1948, in Belleville, IL, died Sunday, October 4, 2015, at Saint Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

A graduate of Cathedral Grade School and the Academy of Notre Dame, Janet had recently retired from the office of Illinois Eye Surgeons, where she enjoyed working for Dr. Green for more than 40 years.  She was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Cathedral Parish, Belleville, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Othmar and Ann, nee Krupp, Schwartz; and a sister, Kathleen Whiteley.

Surviving are her husband of 43 years, David A. Docter, whom she married on April 22, 1972;
her daughter, Stacie (Josh) Farrell of Oklahoma City, OK;
three grandchildren, Cannon, Chase, and Makenzie Farrell;
a sister, Linda (Terry) Noblitt of Belleville, IL;
twin brothers, Donald (Betty Jo) Schwartz of Boerne, TX,
and Ronald (Carol) Schwartz of Belleville, IL;
ten nieces and nephews, Dawn (Bill) Klinedinst, Todd (Kathy) Schwartz,
Lisa (Glen) Logan, Angela (Mark) Renner,
James (Chris) Schwartz, John (Tammy) Schwartz,
Shannon (Lori) Whiteley, Christopher (Kacie) Whiteley,
Channing (Rich) Suhl, and Caitlin Noblitt;
great-nieces and great-nephews;
a brother-in-law, Tom Docter;
and a sister-in-law, Bonnie Fornaszewski.

Someday,
we hope to meet again,

we know not when.

never to part again.

Memorials may be made to the Belleville Area Humane Society or in the form of Masses.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, October 8, 2015, at St. Peter’s Cathedral Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Thursday, October 8, 2015, at St. Peter’s Cathedral with Msgr. John Myler officiating.  Entombment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Fairview Heights, IL.
