Mrs. Kaiser was a graduate of the Academy of Notre Dame. She loved swimming, camping, football, baseball, and animals. Always looking to learn new things, she enjoyed attending Elder Hostels at universities around the country with her late husband. She was very generous with her time and served as a volunteer at St. Mary Grade School in many capacities, and as a Girl Scout leader, a Cub Scout den mother, and delivered Meals on Wheels. Janice was an active member of the Ladies Sodality at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Louis J. “Joe” Kaiser, whom she married on October 16, 1946, and who died on December 5, 2004; two daughters, Mary Staffire and Patty L. Isaak; her parents, Herbert J. and Clementine E., nee Biebel, Weber; and a sister, Marilyn (Joseph) Edelen.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph M. (Pat) Kaiser of O’Fallon, IL, and Steven J. Kaiser of Glen Carbon, IL; a daughter, Jane E. (Bob) Barbeau of Belleville, IL; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2021, and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2021, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL. Standard CDC guidelines will be followed, including masks and social distancing.
Funeral: A funeral procession will leave at 9:45 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2021, from George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Fr. Michael Arockiam and Rev. Tom Edelen (nephew of deceased) concelebrating. Masks are required.
Burial will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
