Mrs. Strader graduated from St. Teresa’s Academy, East St. Louis, IL, in June, 1955. She had monthly lunch with her St. Teresa Academy friends and volunteered at Anderson Hospital with wonderful women. Jeanine worked in the legal field until her retirement. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and had many wonderful friends. She loved the St. Louis Cardinals, loved flowers, animals, sports, restaurants, theater and laughing. Jeanine had a special group of ladies for friends. I love you Gloria Cruz, Bonnie Wallace, Cyndi Carrill, and Sheila Jones.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mark J. McAteer; her loving parents, Val H. and Kathryn A., nee Fitzpatrick, Steppacher; and two sisters, Carol Rukavina, Brenda (Ray) Kirsch.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald W. (Pam) McAteer of Granite City, IL, and Philip J. (Cheryl) Kosydor of Edwardsville, IL;
three daughters, Kathryn M. (Terry) Mangi of Granite City, IL, Kristin M. Kosydor of Granite City, IL, and Kara A. (Brian) Arnold of Granite City, IL;
seven grandsons, Ryan (Rachel) McAteer, Jonathan (Tiffany) Kosydor, Jesse Kosydor, Dylan Dalton, Jake Dalton, Benjamin Sherfy, and Christopher Arnold;
three granddaughters, Ann Marie (Zeb) Hammond, and Kandace Kosydor;
four great-granddaughters, Reese Kathleen McAteer, Lo Hammond, Ella Meeks and Arden Kosydor;
four great-grandsons, Emmett Dalton, Vann McAteer, Mac Hammond, and Roman Kosydor;
a sister, Marilyn Magac of Sarasota, FL;
and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
