Jeanne Marie Buss, nee Gundlach, 70, of Belleville, IL, born December 18, 1944, in Belleville, IL, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Jeanne had worked as the grocery manager for Wessel’s Market in Smithton, IL, for 15 years.   She was a wonderful cook, baker, seamstress, costume-maker, and all-around craftswoman, whether it be at needlecrafts, stained-glass windows, or gardening.  Jeanne was a warm and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Raymond H. Buss Jr., whom she married on March 8, 1963, and who died on November 5, 2006; her parents, Paul and Marcella, nee Koch, Gundlach; aunts and uncles; in-laws; and her beloved parrot, Pickles.

Surviving are her daughter, Susan (Tom) Walla of Columbia, IL;
her son, John (Stacy) Buss of Smithton, IL;
and five grandchildren, Nicole and Sarah Walla,
and Matthew, Nathan, and Abby Buss.

Visitation:  Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2015, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2015, at the funeral home with Deacon Gerry Bach officiating.  Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
