Jim held a bachelor’s degree and worked as a certified public accountant. He loved the outdoors and camping. Jim was a member of Christ Church, Fairview Heights, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis G. and Geneva M., nee Addington, Maddox; and a nephew, Timothy Fulkerson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Carolyn R. nee Bauer, Maddox, whom he married on August 3, 1973;
a daughter, Alison M. (Ron) Jester of Freeburg, IL;
a son, Steven J. (Stephanie) Maddox of Belleville, IL;
seven grandchildren, Jacob, Ryan, Taylor and Megan Jester, and Leah, Colin and Kendall Maddox;
two sisters, Geneva (Lonnie) Fulkerson of Willisville, IL, and Sherry (Feb) Taylor of Owensboro, KY;
and nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2022, at Christ Church, Fairview Heights, IL.
Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Shiloh, IL.
