Joan Lucille Graser, nee Hippler, 87, of St. Louis, MO, born February 26, 1932, in St. Louis, MO, died Saturday, July 27, 2019, at St. Mary’s Hospital, St. Louis, MO, with family by her side.

Joan enjoyed helping kids during her years working at Special School District of St. Louis County before her retirement. She was a resident of Laclede Groves, Webster Groves, MO. Joan was a long-time member of Grace Lutheran Chapel, Bellefontaine Neighbors, MO, and most recently attended North County Community Church, Hazelwood, MO. Joan was passionate about animals, especially dogs and horses. She enjoyed flower gardening and shopping. She had a strong faith, loved her family dearly, and will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer “Bud” Graser; her parents, Milton and Marion, nee Parsons, Hippler; a son, Dennis Graser; a daughter, Elizabeth Graser; a grandson, Luke Graser; her brother, Milton Hippler; and her sister, Marion “Cissy” Biondo.

Surviving are a daughter, Janet (Kirk) Haffer;
a son, James (Michele) Graser;
a daughter-in-law, Barb Graser;
grandchildren, Jackie Graser, Ken (Amanda) Graser,
Joshua (Anne) Haffer, Elise (Jeremy) Beutlich,
Neil (Jenna) Graser, Jon Graser, and Jenny Graser;
great-grandchildren, Ellie, Harper, Teagan, Hazel, Lee, Alina,
Faith, Ian, Jolie, James, and Julia;
a sister-in-law, Martha Hippler;
nieces and nephews, Judy, Doug, Sally, Sandy, and Steve;
great-nieces and great-nephews;
cousins;
and her dear friends, Laurie Feldman, Jean Dwyer, and Jack Manis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Missouri or Basket of Hope.

Dear Jan, Jami and Family, Your mom and I spent many years as friends and co-workers at Valley Winds/Koch Elementary.She was a gentle, loving person whose family meant everything to her. i know how much she will be missed. My deepest condolences to all of you.
