Mrs. Wren attended Cathedral Grade School, and was a 1952 graduate of The Academy of Notre Dame High School, both in Belleville, IL. She began her career at the St. Clair County Court House in 1953, working in the County Clerk’s Office. She moved on to the Recorder of Deeds Office and retired in 1984 from the County Treasurer’s Office. Joan was blessed as she was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, cousin, God Mother and loyal friend to so many. She had a passion for travel and fashion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Catherine, nee McDade, Spindler.
Surviving are her two sons, Bradley B. Wren of Chandler, AZ,
and Scott L. (Doree) Wren of St. Louis, MO;
and two grandchildren, Amelia K. Wren of Chicago, IL,
and Daniel Wren of Tuscaloosa, AL.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2017, at George Renner and Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2017 for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Fr. Matthew Elie officiating.
Burial will follow at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
