Jodi had worked for Publix Grocery Store in Florida and most recently at Casey’s General Store, Freeburg, IL. She enjoyed thrift store shopping, walking for exercise, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan. Jodi was an animal lover and enjoyed going to the Zoo. She loved traveling around with her husband, Mark, especially their overnight trips to Grafton, IL. Most of all, Jodi loved her family greatly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald A. Vernier Sr.
Surviving are her husband, Mark Clayton;
a son, Adam Schell of St. Louis, MO;
a daughter, Susan Schell of Chicago, IL;
a step-daughter, Keighly Clayton of North Carolina;
her mother, Norma, nee Schwarz, Vernier of Belleville, IL;
four brothers, Donald Jr. (Tammy) Vernier of Belleville, IL, Jon (Tracey) Vernier of Mascoutah, IL, Eric Vernier of Advance, NC, and Joel (Annie) Vernier of Mocksville, NC;
two sisters, Debbie (Don) Pyszka of O’Fallon, IL,
and Angela (Clyde) Hutchinson of Millstadt, IL;
aunts and uncles;
and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
