John was a soldier till the end. I always enjoyed going to his house to visit. He always knew how to make me laugh. John and Irma welcomed me into their home and made me feel like family; and I will always remember that.

I was a classmate of Dennis’s. Sorry to hear of his passing. He was always a very friendly person in school. I didn’t get to go to our reunion this year but saw pictures. May all his family find comfort in the days ahead. Erma ( Dotson) Hopping

Irma & kids, We cannot make it into town for the services, but know that our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. Since learning of his passing I've been thinking back to so many wonderful memories of Dennis from my childhood...honestly I didn't realize how many there were. From penny rummy at the holidays, to helping out with (the easy) farmwork, to just general silliness and/or solemnity as appropriate at family gatherings. He was a big part of my youth and will be dearly missed by many. I hope you can find comfort in God and each other, and all your extended friends & family at this challenging time. --Kent
