Jude attended Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. He was talented in the arts, specifically music and painting. He was always playing the keyboard and composed some of his own music. He liked landscaping, was always friendly and outgoing, and had a good sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John D. York.
He is survived by his parents, Charles Dennis York, Helen Jean (nee Scheibel) York; five brothers and sisters, Cecilia (Robert) Wheetley, Lisa (James) Hooper, Maria (late Charles Haegelstein) York, Paul (Michelle Stege) York, and Steven York; five nephews, Michael (Kim) Green, Nicholas Green, Robert Wheetley, III, Christian (Scarlett) Stege, and Ethan Stege; a niece, Celine Hooper; and great nephews; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation: Family may visit from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023, at St. Henry Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023, at St. Henry Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Kenneth York officiating.
