June Mutto, nee Eckhardt, 88, of Belleville, IL, born October 2, 1929, in Belleville, IL, died Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

June worked for the Civil Service at Scott AFB as an Administrative Assistant. She retired in January, 1998, at the age of 69.  Her family and friends will always remember her playing the piano and her beautiful singing voice that was often requested at weddings, funerals, and other special occasions. As a young mother she enjoyed volunteering for the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary as a Pink Angel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard A. & Bertha, nee Van Eizenga, Eckhardt.

Surviving are a son, Edward N. (Susan) Mutto;
two daughters, Nancy L. (Clarence) Jasper, and Sharon S. (James) Strausbaugh;
three grandchildren, Sarah (Chad) Watkins, Joshua (Erin) Strausbaugh, and Jacob (Morgan) Strausbaugh;
and three great-grandchildren, Katherine, Levi, and Oaklyn.

Memorials may be made to the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or to St. Paul’s Senior Community. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2018, and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2018, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2018, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Karen Siddle, friend of the family, officiating.

Burial will be at Green Mount Protestant Cemetery, Belleville, IL.

Sorry to hear about your mom. I know it hurts, but she can walk and play the piano. She had a beautiful smile.
