Karen R. Brown, nee Buchanan, 54, of Belleville, IL, born September 16, 1960, in East St. Louis, IL, died Saturday, February 14, 2015, at her residence.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas A. and Mattie M., nee Gale, Buchanan; two nephews, Jeff Hodge and Christopher Deadmond; and a brother-in-law, Jim Stroud.

Surviving are her five children, Monica (Adrian) Ryan of Belleville, IL,
James (Amber) Parker of Belleville, IL,
Thomas (Kelly) Parker of Belleville, IL,
Sarah Parker of O’Fallon, IL,
and Stephanie (Matt) Slovinski of Maryville, IL;
15 grandchildren, Garrett Rainbolt, Kayden,     Ambria , Justine,
Emma, Tom Tom Jr.,
Kiera, Breanna,
David, Kayla, Mike,
Makayla, James,
Kyann, and Savannah;
two brothers, Thomas Buchanan and Steve Buchanan;
three sisters, Sue Stroud,     Nancy Hodge, and Norma Deadmond;
her very dear friends, Skip Anderson
and Stacey Hoolihan, who was like a daughter to Karen;
and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation:   Friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL

Funeral:  A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015, at the funeral home with Rev. Ed Coleman officiating.

I will miss you terribly but knowing that your not in any more pain will only help me get over this tragic loss. You will always be a part of me that lives on in me and the influence you have on every bodies lives. You are no longer suffering and have no more fear.
