Kathleen Rita Beyer, nee Biver, 71, of Belleville, IL, born June 24, 1950, in Belleville, IL, died Sunday, August 22, 2021, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.

Kath, as she was known to all loved ones, thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren grow. Over the years she opened her home to numerous foster children. Her other passions included spending time with friends and hunting down bargains at rummage sales.

In 1968 she graduated from the Academy of Notre Dame and went on to graduate with an Associates of Science from Belleville Area College. Kath loved traveling the world as a flight attendant for TWA and American Airlines for over 30 years. After retiring from the airlines, she enjoyed working as an instructional aide at Belleville Area Special Services Cooperative and teacher’s aide at Belleville Township High School East. Kath also spent many years helping at the Apostolic Church of Belleville and was a beloved member of St. Peter’s Cathedral.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Urban and Mary Lois, nee Truttmann, Biver; a son, Charles Beyer Jr.; and a sister, Joan Ott.

Kath is survived by her husband, Charles Beyer;
a daughter, Alexis Beyer (Derek Sakris);
two sons, Dustin (Brandi) Beyer, and Zachary (Cayelea) Beyer;
five grandchildren, Nadia, Phillip, Jamison, Oliver, and Ella; and one grandbaby on the way;
a brother, Michael (Kathy) Biver;
sisters, Vicki (Richard) George, Jody (Bill) Dingivan, Alice Loya, nee Biver, and Kristy-Jon (Mark) Ekes;
and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Kath will be missed more than words can express and cherished dearly. Her passing is not the end, because she left behind so many memories that will live on, including the lessons she taught and love she gave so fiercely.

In lieu of flowers, please consider sharing stories about Kath to celebrate the full and lovely life she lived. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

 Funeral:  Cremation services will be held with a memorial service at a later date.

Kathleen was one of my aunts on my mother’s side of the family . Though I knew her from a young age I didn’t really get to know her til I was out of high school. I will always remember her as being kind and having a smile on her face. I am truly saddened by her passing. Please remember to say “i love you” to your loved ones and try to never leave on a bad note for you never can know when GOD is going to call us up to heaven to join our loved ones who have already been called to heavens. Rosemary and I give our condolences to Alexis , Zachary , Dustin , Tuna, Lisa , kristy-Jon, vikki , Jody, and Mike . ❤️Rosemary & Samantha Dingivan

Such a tragic loss, I will miss you Aunt Kathy! My fondest memories center around Thanksgivings you hosted decades ago, and introducing me to the joy of mashed potatoes with extra butter and corn! Rest in Peace Kathy. ❤️

It’s so hard to believe I won’t be hearing my long time friends voice again. Kathy was one of the most loyal, caring and loving friend one could ask for. We shared so much in our career of many years at TWA and outside. Lots of laughs together. She loved life and her family so much. She was always there for everyone. What a great lost for all of us but a gain in Heaven. I love you Kathy .

Charlie and your family. I am so sad to hear of Kathy's passing. She was always a bubbly and upbeat person. Enjoyed seeing you both at our class reunion in 2018. I pray for all of you in this difficult time. Hugs to all.

Kathy and I went to grade school and HS together at the Academy of Notre Dame. We had not seen each other since HS graduation. About 15 years ago I boarded a plane to go to see my daughter in Boston and there she was, all smiles and welcoming me. We immediately recognized each other and started talking and catching up. And amazingly when I boarded my plane to return to St Louis the following week there she was again. She even gave me an airplane coffee cup to take home. I will always remember her contagious smile and friendliness. I will be praying for God’s peace for all her family and loved ones. God bless you all.

It's hard to believe we won't see you any more Kath. I've got a tub of bacon grease in my fridge that's almost full for you. You loved to cook and care for others. You were an awesome host for parties. You worked hard, and did everything to the highest expectation. Thanks for opening your home and heart to Cullen and others when they needed it. You've continued to be part of his life, and he is really going to miss you. I will too. Thanks for the memories
