Kenny attended St. Mary’s Grade School and was a 1970 graduate of Belleville Township High School West. He worked as a supervisor at Georgia Pacific in Mount Olive, IL, for 48 years before his retirement. Kenny was an avid golfer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Ray and Beulah Mae, nee Hargan, Melton; a sister, Barbara (Bill) Lepine; three brothers, Dolan (Kathy) Melton, Paul David Melton, and Norman Melton; and two sisters-in-law, Nancy Barberis and Jennie Melton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jane Mae, nee Walsh, Melton, whom he married on August 10, 1973; seven brothers and sisters, Clarence Melton, Mary (Farrell) Caesar, Odis (Mary Ann) Melton, Richard Melton, Rita (Mary Zellerman) Pannier, Joseph (Lisa) Melton, and Tonya Dehn; a brother-in-law, Ronald Barberis; a sister-in-law, Kim Lougeay; three Goddaughters, Vanessa (D.J.) Malecki, Jackie (Chris) Ditty, and Keri (Damien) Edgington; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2024, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Deacon Daniel Kimutis officiating.
Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
