Kenneth Lee Nikolauzyk, 77, of Fayetteville, IL, born February 12, 1939, in Belleville, IL, died Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Mr. Nikolauzyk worked as a coal miner for 23 years, working at the Peabody Mine in Albers, IL, and at Ziegler Mine in Coulterville, IL.  Kenneth was a member of St. Pancratius Catholic Church, Fayetteville, IL, and was an active member of the Fayetteville Fire Department.  He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lillian, nee Hendricks, Nikolauzyk; and a brother, Clarence Nikolauzyk.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Ruth H., nee Mueller, Nikolauzyk, whom he married on August 15, 1963;
two sons and a daughter, Clarence (Lisa) Nikolauzyk
and Charles (Rose) Nikolauzyk, both of Fayetteville, IL,
and Christine (Keith) Howard of Belleville, IL;
nine grandchildren, Frank, Joseph, and Ashley Nikolauzyk,
Nicole and Melissa Nikolauzyk,
and Brandon, Corey, Olivia, and Trey Howard;
great-grandchildren;
a sister, Clara Hug of Belleville, IL;
a brother, Jerry (Wanda) Nikolauzyk of Mascoutah, IL;
and nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Fayetteville Fire Department.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016, at St. Pancratius Catholic Church, Fayetteville, IL.

Funeral:  A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2016, at St. Pancratius Catholic Church, Fayetteville, IL.  Burial of cremains will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO, at a later date.
