
Kim loved animals and never met a stranger. She made sure to always remind those close to her that she loved them. She was kind and devoted to her family. She loved bowling, washers, cards, board games, and her all-time favorite, bingo. Simply put, she had a heart of gold.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her father, Gary Rogers, on July 11, 1979; mother, Patricia Coombs, on September 30, 2000; great-aunt, Shelia Wilkinson, on October 29, 2015; and her stepdaughter, Rachel Shively, on August 22, 2017.
Kim was united in marriage to Michael Shively and the two were inseparable. She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Shively of Belleville, IL; daughter, Kathryn Kassing of Bloomington, IL; a brother, Steven (Tammy) Rogers; a stepson, Brendan (Jasmine) Shively; and step granddaughter, Emery. She is also survived by her aunt, Barbara Bova of Fairview Heights, IL; niece and nephew; and two generations of cousins who were very close to her.

Visitation: A celebration of Kim’s life will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2021, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, 120 North Illinois Street, Belleville, IL. Please note, due to COVID mitigations, only 10 guests will be allowed in for viewing at one time. Face masks will be required while attending.
