Mr. Fisher was a career U. S. Army Serviceman. He served three tours of duty in Vietnam and one in Korea. His first assignment was as an infantryman and followed by working in military intelligence. He became a non-commissioned officer and retired as a pharmacy tech at the John Cochran Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Larry was a member of the Gothic Masonic Lodge 852, Fairview Heights, IL and the American Legion Post 978, Fairview Heights, IL. He enjoyed his visits to Lake of the Ozarks and Branson, MO where he loved to fish, enjoyed visiting family, friends, and neighbors, and spending time with his dogs, Charlie and Buddy.
He was preceded in death by a son, Paul W. Williams; his father, Baker D. Fisher; his mother, Iva P., nee Hay, Fisher Boggs; his step-father, Charlie Boggs; and his siblings, Dennis, Edith, Easter, Clohe, and Tilly.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Joan, nee Loney, Fisher, whom he married on November 10, 1964;
a son, Glenn (Kay) Williams of Camdenton, MO;
a granddaughter, Bobbie Jean (Jeb) Pearson of Bakersfield, CA;
a sister-in-law, Nelly Fisher of New Boston, OH;
and numerous nieces and nephews.
