Larry P. Trent, 83, of Freeburg, IL, born December 22, 1937, in Logan, WV, died Thursday, October 21, 2021, at his residence.

Mr. Trent owned and operated Western Hydraulics following his retirement from the U. S. Navy. He was a member of the Ainad Shriners and the Freeburg Masonic Lodge 418.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil H. and Ruby V., nee Frye, Trent; and two daughters, Candy Ann Trent, and Paula Jo Trent.

Surviving are his daughter, Tammy Lyn (Mark) Rickert;
nine grandchildren, James Heintz, Joshua (Chyanne) Rickert, Sarah (Luke) Wiskamp, Amanda (Alex) Acuna, Jayne (Travis) Oaks, Paige Trent, Cole (Makenzie)Henson, Candon Croft, and Caitlyn Croft;
11 great-grandchildren, Trinity Heintz, Jaxon Heintz, Trent Wiskamp, Ryen Rickert, Drew Rickert, Laikynn Smith, Antonella Acuna, Josephine Wiskamp, Colton Henson, Henley Oaks, and Cannon Oaks;
a sister, Sue Maynard; and many nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Private cremation services will be held.

We all have great memories of fun with Unc! Prayers as you grieve his loss in your daily lives. And, that you cling to the hope of seeing him with Jesus one day!!!

We were saddened to hear of Paul’s passing. We hadn’t seen him in years but he was Best Man at our wedding back on August 21, 1976 (45 years ago). We will be praying for the family he left behind🙏🏻
