Lawrence C. “Bud” Meehan, 77, of Belleville, IL, born February 15, 1938, in East. St. Louis, IL, died Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Mr. Meehan was an electrician retired from Monsanto Chemical Company, where he had worked for 40 years.  He was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.  Bud was a founding member of the Belleville Enduro Team and a U.S. Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Rose Mary, nee Peters, Meehan, whom he married on July 22, 1961, and who died January 18, 2013; his parents, Lawrence and Mary, nee Heffern, Meehan; and a brother, William Meehan.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter, Patrick (Sarah) Meehan of Aurora, IL,
Shawn (Diane) Meehan of Smithton, IL,
and Kellie Meehan (Rick Daab) of Waterloo, IL;
seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn Ghiotto, Nolan and Connor Meehan,
Corey and Austin Meehan, and Joe and Grace Daab;
three great-grandchildren, Alayna Meehan and Penelope and Wesley Ghiotto;
a sister, Patricia (Jack) Gilmore of Collinsville, IL;
a brother, Francis Meehan of Belleville, IL;
a sister-in-law, Barbara Meehan of Dupo, IL;
and nieces and nephews.

Funeral:  A celebration of Bud’s life will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2015, at TR’s Place, 4901 Concordia Road, Belleville, IL.
