After graduating from Belleville Township High School in 1957, Leova worked in Belleville for Kroger and the Illinois Inspection Bureau. She subsequently was owner and operator of Gold Oil Company in Belleville along with her husband, Jack. From 1989 to 2014, Leova owned and operated Lee Maids, a residential/commercial team cleaning service in Belleville. Leova cherished being a mother and grandmother. She was an excellent cook who especially enjoyed preparing Thanksgiving and Christmas meals which included baking big batches of a variety of Christmas cookies. Leova’s favorite holiday was Christmas because she thoroughly enjoyed giving carefully selected gifts to loved ones. She also enjoyed family vacations to Disney World and Disneyland, first with her two sons and then with her two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack G Pelc, whom she married on July 6, 1957, and her parents, Edward and Lucinda, nee Keck, Koesterer.
Surviving are two sons, Daryl (Patricia) Pelc of Huntington, Beach, CA,
and Brad (Leslie) Pelc of Freeburg, IL;
and two grandsons, Jack and Edward Pelc of Huntington Beach, CA.
