Leslie “Les” Ronald Schwebke, 94, of Swansea, IL, born November 29, 1929, in Boone County, IL, died Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.
Mr. Schwebke was a self-employed carpenter, farmer, and businessman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Mae, nee Schultz, Schwebke; a son, Brad L. Schwebke; his parents, Edward and Gertrude, nee Wascher, Schwebke; and two brothers, Merrill “Mo” and Wendell (Betty) Schwebke.
Surviving are his two children, Brion L. (Jane) Schwebke of Swansea, IL, and Bruce L. Schwebke of Cherokee Village, AR; three grandchildren, Michele (Brandon) Jako, Jonathan (Janel) Schwebke, and Carolyn (Jarrod) Winder; and four great grandchildren, Kailin Barnes, Louden Schwebke, Blake Winder, and Griffin Schwebke.
