Lisa was a fierce and loving mother to her daughter, Emily, and fought hard to stay with her. Lisa was a devoted daughter as she cared for her parents before their passing. She was known as a kind-hearted person who would give the shirt off her back to help family, friends, or any of God’s creatures, great or small, who were in need. As a testament of her character, Lisa’s last act of kindness was to donate her organs and save the life of perhaps another mother so someone else’s daughter doesn’t know the heartbreak and doesn’t have to be as brave as Emily.
Lisa was welcomed home by her father, Hugo Albert Schewe; and her mother, Vivian Darlene, nee Fix, Schewe.
Remaining behind to cherish her memory is her beloved daughter, Emily Marguerite;
her brother, John and his wife Sharon Schewe,
and her brother, Rick Schewe;
her sister, Vicki Schewe;
nieces and nephews, Angela (Shaun) Hattan,
Sarah (Mike) Tow,
Erin (Dan) Steinkamp,
Brie (Bob) Fournie,
Matt Schewe,
RaeAnna Heskett (Dale Ryan Dapson),
and Alyssa Heskett (Zack Ruemmler);
13 great-nieces and great-nephews;
and treasured friends, Jim and Lucy Vasquez.
The family would like to extend their love and thanks to the staff at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for their care and loving support. They also request your prayers during this difficult time of transition.

Funeral: As were Lisa’s wishes, her body was cremated and a celebration of her life was celebrated privately with her family and loved ones.

Expressing my condolences to the entire Shewe family. I am the home healthcare nurse who cared for both your mother and your father and in doing so got to know Lisa very well. As I am going through the obituaries I am in disbelief to see her name. Expressing concern and prayers for Emily, as I know how close she and her mother were. She was Lisa’s world!
