Mr. Quirin was a United Mine Worker for Peabody Coal Company. After the mine closed, he retired from Hubbell Wiegmann Company of Freeburg, IL. He was a member of Journey Church, Freeburg, IL, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Boise was a lifelong Cub’s fan, softball player, and bowler. Mr. Quirin was a volunteer for the Fire Department in Freeburg, IL, for many years. He loved gardening and was best known for his tomatoes and potatoes.
He was preceded by his parents, Elmer and Lena, nee Roth, Quirin; two brothers, Henry (Ruth) Quirin and Clarence (Doris) Quirin; a sister, Clara Mae (Charles) Petri; and an infant granddaughter, Melissa Ann Schorr.
Surviving are his wife of nearly 64 years, Ruth Ann, nee Smith, Quirin, whom he married on June 22, 1957; a son, Roger (Molly) Quirin of Chesterfield, MO; two daughters, Dianne (Richard) Schorr of Waterloo, IL, and Nancy (Dwayne) Reaka of Freeburg, IL; four grandchildren, Richard Schorr, Steven (Katie) Quirin, Katie (Austin) Luberda, and Kyle Reaka; one great-grandchild, Baylee; and nieces and nephews.

Burial will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
