Lorean Kay Hall, nee Jackson, 80, of O’Fallon, IL, born May 21, 1938, in Des Moines, IA, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at the Colonnade Senior Living, O’Fallon, IL.

Lorean was a retired elementary school teacher and enjoyed accompanying numerous band students on piano.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney M. Hall, whom she married July 17, 1960, and who died June 11, 2002; her parents, Loran W. Jackson and Margaret E. Hoffman, nee Durnell; her stepfather, Dale Hoffman; a brother-in-law, Lowell Hall; and sister-in-law, Pat Hall.

Lorean is survived by her son, Ross Hall of Eagle Lake, MN;
her daughter, Martha (Dave) Dey of Swansea, IL;
two grandchildren, Cameron Dey of North Liberty, IA, and Kiersten Dey of Iowa City, IA;
two sisters, Suzanne (Lowell) Maxson of Coldwater, MI, and Marla (Tom) Nelson of Minnetonka, MN;
and a sister-in-law, Maxine (Harold) Beckner of Clear Lake, IA.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held in Iowa on July 27, 2018.

Ross and Martha - prayers of comfort for you and your family. Glad I got to visit with your mom 5 years ago after our class reunion. She was a very sweet lady!

My sympathy to the family. Rene was a good neighbor and organist when I served at Hanlontown. I know she will be missed.

I am so sorry to learn of Renie’s death. She was a very sweet and kind person and always made me and everyone around her feel good about ourselves. May God rest her soul. Condolences to her family
