Louis enlisted in the Air Force in 1948. During his 20 years of service his overseas assignments were Guam, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Japan, and England. He proudly served his country and was awarded the Air Force commendation medal, the good conduct medal with 4 loops, Air Force good conduct medal, National Defense Service Medal with bronze star, Korea Service Medal and Korea Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon with 4 bronze oak leaf clusters and small arms expert marksmanship ribbon. Louis retired from the Air Force as a technical sergeant in 1968 after 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Becker; his parents, Louis H. and Minnie, nee Williams, Becker; a brother, James E. Becker; a sister-in-law, Mary Becker; and a granddaughter, Crystal A. Becker.
Surviving are his son, David (Marian) Becker; a granddaughter, Robin, nee Becker, (Bryan) Clark; and three great granddaughters, Alex, Hannah, and Neely.

Funeral: Graveside services with military honors will be held at 12 noon Friday, April 16, 2021, at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Doug Stewart officiating.
