Louise E. Kreitner, nee Klinckhardt, 83, of Belleville, IL, born August 10, 1932, in Belleville, IL, passed into God’s loving arms on Thursday, March 3, 2016, at her residence, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Louise was a retired waitress who had worked at the Wishbone Restaurant and the Town House Restaurant.  She was a member of the Belleville-Swansea Women of the Moose, Chapter 53.  Louise loved to dance and was a former member of the Metro-East St. Louis Polka Club.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the absolute joys of her life during her last few years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Norman F. Kreitner, whom she married on June 5, 1953, and who died on February 17, 2012; a daughter, Kim Kreitner Donjon; her parents, Carl and Frieda, nee Haas, Klinckhardt; and six sisters, Marie Brenner, Dorothy Prather, Bernice Kaemmerer, Carol Jean Korte, Gloria “Momie” Swierczek, and Kathleen Klinckhardt, in infancy.

Surviving are her daughter, Mindy Johnson of Smithton, IL;
a son-in-law, Glen (Diann) Donjon of Swansea, IL;
five grandchildren, Ryan and Kimberly Johnson,
Sherry Donjon, and Ben and Dillon Donjon;
two great-grandchildren, Rayden Kreitner and Liam Soto;
a sister, Betty Gansmann of Washington, MO;
a brother-in-law, Raymond Korte of Belleville, IL;
and nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all of Louise’s caretakers.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016, at George Renner and Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016, at George Renner and Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Fr. Stanley Konieczny officiating.

Mrs. Kreitner donated her body to Washington University School of Medicine.

To Louise’s memory for her family: I will miss seeing and talking with Louise as she walked past our condos and took in the flowers and outdoors. She always wanted to say so much and struggled to do so, but I understood as we enjoyed them together and it didn’t take words to do so. I will miss Louise and know you will too. Polly Jacobs
