Mrs. Loose was a devoted member of Christ our Savior Lutheran Church, Freeburg, IL. She was also a former member and long time Sunday school teacher for Zion Lutheran Church, Belleville, IL. Luella loved God and her family dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John F. Loose, Sr.; her parents, Henry and Myrtle, nee Kirsch, Meier; a brother, Ralph Meier; a sister, Esther Koressel; a son-in-law, Richard Stein; two sisters-in-law, Irma Alkire and Edith Loose; and a brother-in-law, Pete Koressel.
Surviving are two daughters Karen L. (David) Ross and Brenda S. Stein;
a son John F. (Sue) Loose, Jr.;
seven grandchildren, David Stein, Jenny (Nathan) Patterson, Steven Loose,
Melissa (Matt) Stengel, Brian (Lacie) Loose, Michelle (Matt) Rogers, and Cheryl (Tom) DeSplinter;
16 great grandchildren, Hartley and Asher Stein; Arabella and Serafina Patterson; Brayden, Braya and Brody Loose;
Jaxson, Reagan and Parker Stengel; William Loose; Kinsley and Everly Rogers; Catie, Ellie, and Jenny DeSplinter.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, Freeburg, IL, with Rev. Bruce Keseman officiating.
Burial will be held at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
