Lynda Ochs

Lynda Ann Ochs entered into eternal rest on April 21, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL, at the age of 69. She was born on May 19, 1950 to Lamar and Frances Ochs, nee Kyle.

After her graduation in 1968 from Notre Dame Academy in Belleville, IL, Lynda fulfilled her dream of becoming a nurse. Over the years she was blessed to provide care to many patients and found great joy in a job that she never considered work.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents and her former husband, Alan Rothenbuecher.

She is survived by her only son, James Rothenbuecher;
her sister, Connie Whitney;
her brother, Lamar (Leslie) Ochs;
her nephews, Preston Whitney, Kyle Whitney, and Tyler Ochs;
and, her niece, Mariah Kardas.
She is also survived by great-nephews and great-nieces.

Lynda’s son, James would like to extend a very special thank you to the health care workers at St. Paul’s Senior Community in Belleville who cared for Lynda as though she were a member of their own family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Senior Community. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at

Funeral:  Private services will be held with burial at College Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, IL. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

I too was a fellow classmate of Lynda's at AND. I remember her very fondly. She was a very sweet person. Prayers to her family.

I am so sorry for your loss of Lynda. I went to A.N.D. With Lynda & we shared a lunch table for many years together. She was a beautiful lady with a beautiful heart. She will be missed. R.I.P. my Friend
