Donna was recorded as one of the oldest living girls with Rett Syndrome in the world. She surpassed the life expectancy of a girl with Rett due to the excellent care she received from her Murray Center Family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin G. and Kathryn C., nee Cooney, Munie; and a sister, Angela Merici Munie.
Surviving are two sisters, Gayle Munie, and Monica (Jan) Sobczak;
three brothers, Thomas (Lana) Munie, Kevin (Lynn) Munie, and Neill (Janet) Munie;
many nieces and nephews;
great-nieces and great-nephews;
cousins;
extended family;
and her Murray family.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2022, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2022, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. William McGhee officiating.
A private burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO, at a later date.
