Marcella M. Loesch, nee Blaes, 96, of Swansea, IL, born March 12, 1919, in Mascoutah, IL, died Thursday, February 18, 2016, at Rosewood Care Center, Swansea, IL.

Mrs. Loesch retired from St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, IL, after 45 years of employment as a lab technician.  She was a member of St. Peter’s Cathedral, Belleville, IL.  Marcella was also a member of AARP.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Albert F. Loesch, whom she married on November 25, 1950, and who died on November 7, 2007; and her parents, William and Bertha, nee Kuehn, Blaes; and one brother, Paul (Mary) Blaes.

She is survived by one son, Thomas Anthony Loesch of Swansea, IL;
three grandchildren, Melisa, Jessica, and Adam;
two sisters, Katherine Klinkhamer,
and Antoinette Klingler, both of Swansea, IL;
one brother, Eugene Blaes of Chattanooga, TN;
many nieces and nephews;
great-nieces;
and great-nephews.

Visitation:  Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2016, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral procession will leave at 9:45 a.m. Monday, February 22, 2016, from George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter’s Cathedral Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. John Myler officiating.

Burial will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
