Margie M. Schuetz, nee Theis, 87, of Belleville, IL, born June 16, 1930, in Belleville, IL, died Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Four Fountains Convalescent Center, Belleville, IL.

Mrs. Schuetz was a longtime member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Parish, Belleville, IL.  She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by her family and all of her friends.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Milton T. Schuetz, whom she married on July 2, 1949, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, and who died on February 7, 2005; two loving sons, James and Michael Schuetz; and her parents, Roman C. and Eleanora E., nee Bertelsman, Theis.

Surviving are a son, Robert (Patricia) Schuetz;
two daughters-in-law, Shirley Schuetz and Juanita Schuetz;
five beautiful granddaughters, Lisa Schuetz, Susan McCurdy, Beth Schutt, Jennifer Schuetz, and Kimberly Clinard;
three wonderful great-grandsons, James McCurdy, and Tyler and Trevor Schutt;
and a beautiful great-granddaughter, Isabel Rose Clinard.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2018, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2018, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.  A recitation of the rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2018, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. William McGhee officiating.

Burial will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
