My condolences to all who loved Aunt Marian. My memories of her are linked to her generosity - to her father, her son and all of her family, including her niece and nephews in Idaho. Her Christmas packages, which I later learned were sent even though her finances were stretched, were a source of joy for our family each holiday season. Her generosity is an inspiration to us all, and she will be missed by all who loved her, especially my mother.

A most considerate, kind, helpful and giving person. I knew Marian for over 50 years since I dated and married her sister, Carol. When Karl Ratz, the father of the large Ratz family was stricken with strokes and had to leave his home and familiar neighborhood, Marian graciously moved him into her apartment in Florissant, Mo. Marian continued to work hard to pay bills while also tending lovingly to the needs of her invalid father for almost 10 years. In 1980 Marian’s younger sister Jeanette passed away. As Jeanette wished, Marian then gladly took full responsibility to raise Jeanette’s 5-year-old son Danny to live with her and her father Karl, while sharing her life and all that she had with them for many years. She graciously opened her home for family gatherings, providing abundant hospitality of food, refreshments, warm laughter and conversation around her living room and dining room table. When my mother died in 1994, Marian very kindly invited all attendees to her house for an informal farewell. Marian was always there for others. Her father passed away in 1984 when Dan was 9 and Marian raised him, providing dedication, love, home and shelter until he was married. Everyone who knew Marian enjoyed her gentle smile and humor and shared the presence of her love and caring. May she now enjoy peace forever with the Lord. Jack Willisch, loving brother-in-law

To my beloved big sister, Marian, the dearest, sweetest, most loving sister and confidante anyone could wish for.  I will always remember the fun, the laughter, and the late night silly moments we shared.  We were so very close and I will miss you dearly with your beautiful smile, and loving, caring, and gentle heart. You will always be remembered by those whose lives were touched by your loving ways. All my love, your loving little sister, Carol Willisch
