Marilyn was an Administrative Secretary for Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL, and retired in 1997. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church for many years, and later St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Belleville, IL. She loved to play cards with her friends and go to the local casinos. But her most cherished part of life, was just spending time with her family.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary, nee Grainger, LaCroix; her first husband, Harlan D. Neuner, whom she married on November 12, 1955, and who died on September 24, 1989; her second husband, Raymond C. Lauf, whom she married on February 15, 1999, and who died on March 5, 2014; her dear sister, Judy Bitters; and a stepson, Thomas Lauf.
She is survived by her three children, David Neuner (Tiffany Griswold), Donna (Rick) Dockins, and Beth (Patrick) Blechle;
three stepsons, Don (Debra) Lauf, John (Jackie) Lauf, and Tim (Jodie) Lauf;
a stepdaughter-in-law, Debbie Lauf;
Marilyn was an amazing grandmother to 24 grandchildren, whom she loved so dearly, Cassidy (Dylan Polus), Catlin, Erik, and Trever Dockins, Evan and Morganne Blechle, Brandie (Sean) Beyers, Heaven Stager, Haden and Elizabeth Griswold, Josh (Tara) Lauf, Jaime (Scott) Keck, Jennifer (Collin) Largent, Justin (Kim) Lauf, D.J, (Lori) Lauf, Dustin (Grace) Lauf, Kristina (Anthony) Santa Croce, Kacey (Mark) Beatty, Katlyn (Eric) Frazier, Kinsey Lauf, Valerie, Ashley, and Britney Lauf, and Carrie DeFosset;
25 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Everleigh, Natia, Ayden, Alex, Kailey, Mason, Taylor, Jayda, Lydia, Logan, Jon, Sofie, Sloane, Patrick, Andrew, Catherine, Oliver, Noah, Nolan, Adalynn, Josephine, Eleanor, Andrew, Liam, and her soon to be great-grandson, Aiden;
a brother, Frank LaCroix;
a brother-in law, Robert “Bob” Bitters;
and many nieces, nephews, and her wonderful lifelong friends.

Funeral: Due to COVID-19, private graveside services will be held Friday January 8, 2021, at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
