Martha Anne Mueller, nee Reis, 90, of Belleville, IL, died Friday, June 2, 2017, at The Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows Dammert Center, Belleville, IL.

Mrs. Mueller worked at the Belleville Public Library for 17 years before her retirement.  She was a member of St. Peter’s Cathedral and was also a member of the St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Auxiliary.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, John L. Mueller, whom she married on October 12, 1948, and who died on October 23, 2007; her parents, Dr. Henry and Louise, nee Hentzel, Reis; and a sister, Mary Louise Reis.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Ann (James) Karban of Belleville, IL,
and Christine Marie (Randy) Phillips of Caseyville, IL;
a son, John Henry (Cynthia) Mueller of Belleville, IL;
10 grandchildren, Brian (Sarah) Karban, Keith (Carla) Karban,
Heather (Dale) Buechler, Laura (Trevor) Sondag,
Kara (Jay) Maher, Ashley (Brandon) Carswell,
Jordan Phillips, Megan Mueller, Christopher Mueller,
and Michael Mueller;
12 great-grandchildren, Ethan, Katelyn, Nolan, Alaina,
Dylan, Bryce, Henry, William, Brayden, Cason,
Aubree, and Mackenzie;
a sister, Alice (Robert) Arndt of Belleville, IL;
and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HSHS Hospice or to the MS Society Mid America Chapter.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 to l1:15 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2017, at the Apartment Community Chapel at Our Lady of the Snows Shrine, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:15 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2017, at the Shrine Apartment Community Chapel, Belleville, IL.

Burial will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
