Mrs. Thacker was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL. She was a supportive wife to her husband, Charles W. Thacker, owner and operator of Thacker T.V. in Swansea, IL from 1969 to 1983. Martha was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles W. Thacker, whom she married on November 30, 1946, and who died on February 5, 2010; her parents, Alfred and Marguerite, nee Mougeot, Gabioud; a granddaughter, Laurie Thacker-Kienlen; a great-granddaughter, Hezekiah Piell; four brothers, Maurice, Robert, Marcel and Vernon Gabioud; and three sisters, Isabel Mesey, Marceline Wetzel, and Florence Gabioud.
Surviving are four sons and a daughter, Charles (Debra) Thacker of O’Fallon, IL, Dennis (Geralyn) Thacker of Carlyle, IL, David Thacker (Becky McGuire) of Millstadt, IL, Michael (Susan) Thacker of Troy, IL, and Mary (Pastor Paul) Kurrelmeyer of Smithton, IL;
nine grandchildren;
eight great-grandchildren;
and special friends, Stuart and Kelly Kienlen.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. William McGhee and Pastor Paul Kurrelmeyer officiating.
Burial will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
