Such a shame. Marty was one of the best guys I’ve ever known. He taught me a lot in my lifetime. He showed me the value of hardwork, bailing hay as a kid. I really enjoyed making Deer Sausage with him, entrusting me with the age old Athy secret recipe. It didn’t matter anyway, because his homemade apricot wine he’d serve(also an age old tradition), had me forgetting most things after 1 glass. But I believe what I really learned from him was patience, and understanding. Marty was, and will forever be a great man, and I know he will be greatly missed, by all who knew him. God Bless You!

I was very saddened by the news of Marty's passing. I knew Marty well from his involvement in the structural steel industry and Bi-State Fabricators Association. I had just run into Marty a month ago at Oktoberfest in Belleville where my wife and I chatted with him and his mom for some time. He was full of pride in discussing Matt running Martin Steel and his enjoyment in his new ventures. He will be missed, my condolences to the family and friends. God Bless.

My deepest condolences to Marty's family. He was my cousin, and we grew up together only being 1 year apart in age. I remember our youth and playing together. He was such a great guy, and it's hard to imagine he is gone. Being so close in age it throws one's own mortality to the the for front. God speed Marty. I will see you someday on the other side!

My memories of my cousin were of a serious guy with a silly streak. Always a smile, a kind word, and our grandfather's hard working way. Thank you for leading the way for the rest of us, Marty. Your memory will not fade.
