Mrs. Burke was a retired legal secretary and bond trader. She loved horseback riding and competing in equestrian events. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Caseyville, IL.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, John Eugene and Mary Bernadine, nee Hennessy, Hogan, a brother, John T. Hogan and a sister, Jeanne M. Hogan.
Surviving are her husband of 57 yrs., Tony C. Burke of Collinsville, IL, whom she married May 10, 1959 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, East St. Louis, IL;
a son, Jared Burke of Elmira, NY, a daughter, Anastasia (Brian) Ely of Edwardsville, IL;
and three grandchildren, Katrina, Veronica & Shawn Ely

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2016, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Fr. Raymond Shultz officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
