“Sweet Rest At Last”

God saw the road was getting rough,The hills were hard to climb
He gently closed those Loving eyes and
Whispered “Peace be Thine”
The weary hours, The days of pain
The sleepless nights are passed.
The ever-patient worn-out
Frame has found sweet rest
At Last….

My prayers and thoughts go out to all of her family. I met her years ago. I was a friend to two of her children. Mrs. Chambers always welcomed me into her home, as if I was one of her own. She had a beautiful grace about her, a true spirit. I am sure our Lord Jesus Christ is happy to have her home.

I met Mary at Cathedral Grade School. We volunteered together in the cafeteria as parents. She was a friend from the first day. We would see each other over the years and I would always feel blessed to see her beautiful smile. Although a few years have past, I would enjoy saying hello when I saw her sitting in the front pew at Cathedral. Mary always made me feel treasured as a friend; I hope I made her feel the same.

Mary was an amazing woman who was like family for many years. She and my mother were great friends and I benefited from their wonderful friendship and their passion for sewing (and visiting). When I married my husband's family lived behind Mary and our connections increased. She was a wonderful business woman who had a heart as big as her smile. She was such a blessing to all she met. In recent years I lost touch, but she was never far from my thoughts and often in my prayers. She will be missed and my sympathies for you, her family, are great. We have all been blessed by your wonderful mother. Thank you for sharing. You will remain in my prayers. With deepest sympathy, Phyllis Ernst (nee KERN)

I became acquainted with Mary through Cathedral parish shortly before she moved to Greenville. She was a lovely lady and so wise. I was enriched by knowing her. May God bless Mary and comfort the hearts of her loved ones!

What a very special lady! I bought many many yards of fabric from her for clothes and craft projects. I most probably still have some of the lace she sold me at Bridal Originals. Mary always had a big smile and wonderful stories and most of all, never knew a stranger. May you Rest In Peace! P. S. The angels may need some new robes❤️
