Mary L. Hoffman-Ingles, nee Bradley, 78, of Freeburg, IL, born March 9, 1937, in St. Louis, MO, died Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Oak Hill in Waterloo, IL.

Mary was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Freeburg, IL.  She was active in her church and in her community, serving with the Pre-Cana team and Marriage Encounter at St. James in Millstadt, with retreats at the King’s House in Belleville, and at church bingo and church picnics.  She was chairman of the Schlachtfest at St. James in Millstadt and helped with school lunches at St. Joseph’s Grade School in Freeburg.  Her hobbies included growing flowers, crocheting, and reading.  She enjoyed animals and babysitting for her grandchildren.  She loved her family, neighbors, and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her first husband of 33 years, Ray Hoffman, whom she married on August 12, 1954, and who died on April 25, 1988; her second husband, Charles Ingles, whom she married on January 3, 1998, and who died on June 20, 2008; her parents, Leon C. and Dolores, nee Burkhardt, Bradley; four brothers, Edward Bradley, William Bradley, Leon Bradley, and Daniel Bradley; and a sister, Patricia Gerardi.

Surviving are her son and five daughters, Raymond Hoffman (Mollie Malone) of Belleville, IL,
Mary (Raymond) Edwards of Smithton, IL,
Vicky (Joseph) Byington of Edwardsville, IL,
Kathy (Rick) Engel of St. Jacob, IL,
Renee (Randall) Mehrmann of Millstadt, IL,
and Patricia (Shannon) Grunden of Seattle, WA;
15 grandchildren, Kenneth (Cristi) Kueck,
David and Randi Mehrmann,
Jamie, John, and Jessica Engel,
Kaitlyn, Felicity, Dante, and Patience Grunden,
Mary (Robert Lee III) Meehan, Elizabeth Edwards, and Renee Edwards,
and Raymond “Trey” Hoffman and Amy Hoffman;
seven great-grandchildren, Kameron, Courtney, Klayton, Gwyndylan,
Robert IV, Liam, and Raymond;
her brother, James (Mary) Bradley of Waterloo, IL;
her sister, Jane (Dennis) Voegle of Columbia, IL;
and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation:  Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Freeburg, IL.

Funeral:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Freeburg, IL, with Father Mark Reyling officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Freeburg, IL.
