
Mary Lou was the heart of her family and home. She was known for cookies and pies. She loved to garden. Her quilts are works of the heart. She was devoted to her church and faith in God. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother in the best way.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Wallace D. Karrigan, whom she married on March 27, 1954, and who died on January 16, 2011; and her parents, John and Mary, nee Clubb, Stroup. She was the last of their ten children.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Kevin D. (Nancy) Karrigan of O’Fallon, IL;
Karla S. (Mark) Stark of Fernandina Beach, FL;
Nancy A. (George) Percivall of Crofton, MD;
and Eric A. (Karen) Karrigan of Belleville, IL;
9 grandchildren;
and 11 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
