Matty worked for S.A.V.E. for many years and enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics games. He loved spending time with his family, was a video game enthusiast, and was a lover of all things Star Wars.
He was preceded in death by his father, Terry L. Poe; a sister, Tracy Poe; and grandparents, Joe and Margaret Davis, and Floyd and Devine Poe.
Surviving are his mother, Janet L., nee Davis, Poe, of Shiloh, IL;
two sisters, Amy (Ted) Mena, of Belleville, IL
and Catherine Poe (William Moran) of Webster Groves, MO;
a nephew and three nieces, Samuel, Madelyn, and Alex Mena, and Maggie Moran;
and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Matty’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to his aunt and uncle, Phil and Diane Davis for their wonderful compassion in helping with his care during the last several years.
