Mr. Bauer worked as a supervisor at the Bi-State Development Agency for 40 years. He later worked at Metro East Transit District and retired after 23 years of service. Michael was very involved in helping start up the Red Bird Express.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ella, nee Ebel, Bauer; three sisters, Shirley Schaefer, Doris Pitts, and Amber Wilson; and a brother, Ernest Kriegeskotte.
He is survived by his partner, William Hunter; and caregiver, David Lozada.
