Mr. Bruss was a member of the Roofers Local #2. He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Smithton Sportsman’s Club where he served on the board. Mike was a very active member of the Belleville/Swansea Moose Lodge 1221.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville G. and Rita C., nee Monroe, Bruss; and a sister, Laura Davis.
Surviving are his wife, Juanita L. Bruss;
a son, Brian Bruss;
a daughter, Kimberly Bruss;
two stepsons, Dan Rauschkolb of Alton, IL, and Joe Rauschkolb of Belleville, IL;
three grandchildren, David, Adam, and Breeanna Rauschkolb,
two brothers, Gary Bruss of Highland, IL, and Thomas (Jan) Bruss of New Athens, IL;
a sister, Barbara Bruss of Swansea, IL,
a brother-in-law, Al Davis of Swansea, IL;
and nieces and nephews.
