Michael A. Bruss, 70, of Swansea, IL, born July 12, 1951, in Belleville, IL, died Monday, December 27, 2021, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Mr. Bruss was a member of the Roofers Local #2. He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Smithton Sportsman’s Club where he served on the board. Mike was a very active member of the Belleville/Swansea Moose Lodge 1221.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville G. and Rita C., nee Monroe, Bruss; and a sister, Laura Davis.

Surviving are his wife, Juanita L. Bruss;
a son, Brian Bruss;
a daughter, Kimberly Bruss;
two stepsons, Dan Rauschkolb of Alton, IL, and Joe Rauschkolb of Belleville, IL;
three grandchildren, David, Adam, and Breeanna Rauschkolb,
two brothers, Gary Bruss of Highland, IL, and Thomas (Jan) Bruss of New Athens, IL;
a sister, Barbara Bruss of Swansea, IL,
a brother-in-law, Al Davis of Swansea, IL;
and nieces and nephews.

Funeral:  A Celebration of Mike’s life will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2022, at the Belleville/Swansea Moose Lodge 1221, Swansea, IL.

Nita, Chris and I are so sorry for your loss. Our deepest condolences to you and the family. We will remember his always smiling face and his dedication to the Moose as a member, all his hard work and fellowship he gave to other members. He will be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. Just knew him from his Mother and Dad and, of course, the Moose. He was absolutely wonderful in every way. He was a really great friend.
