My sincere condolences to the Katricka Family, Nancy and all the kids. Mike and my brother Danny and cousin Mike Smith were all great buddies in bands and bumming around Belleville. Known Mike practically my entire life, always super great person and fun to talk with. Always admired his sincerity towards others. It's sad knowing we'll not see each other again on this earth but Heaven has many great things going on and Mike has a bunch for buddies he'll be hanging with once again. May God bring many blessings to the Katricka Family and ease their pain and sorrow.

Mike and I grew together in our teens, met in highschool, he being the rhythm guitarist in his/our first band "The Esquires" and then in another band, me the singer for both. This before he went on to fame with The Clouds. His first car restoration was a Plymouth he painted canary yellow, and we all had great times riding around Belleville in it looking for girls. He was a great billiards player at Central Cigar Store. He tried teaching to me never play straight pool for money with him. Lost a lot of lunch money to that guy cause I never learned my lesson. Our nickname for him was Turkey. Don't know if he liked it or not but we all got nicknames tagged to us back then. We lost track of one another, seeing him for the last time at his and Nancy's bar a few years ago, it was like we picked up right where we left off. Gonna miss you buddy.

My brother. So many memories. He was the one to carry on my mom's traditional recipes. He enjoyed feeding people, and was loved by many. RIP
