Nancy was a member of St. Mary’s Parish, Belleville, IL, and belonged to the Ladies Sodality at the church. She was a former member of the Althoff Catholic High School Mother’s Club. She was dedicated to her family. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her three children know they had the best mom and are even more proud to know she was the best wife. The tender loving care she gave to her husband Bob during his declining years was a testament of her love and commitment as a devoted wife.
Nancy devoted much of her time to St. Mary’s Grade School library, and to Althoff’s bookstore in honor of her three children being able to attend catholic schools which meant so much to her.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Robert F. Sprinz, whom she married June 13, 1959, and who died October 10, 2003;
her parents, Arthur J. and Leona E., nee Dressel, Vernier; and a sister, Geraldine L. Zollner.
Surviving are two sons, Ron (Sheri) Sprinz, and Jim (Edna) Sprinz, both of Belleville, IL;
a daughter, Cheri (Ron) Gentry of Mount Vernon, IL;
four grandchildren, Brandon Wierciszewski of Belleville, IL, Heather (Chris) Sadowski of Swansea, IL, Shelby Sprinz of St. Louis, MO,
and Derek Sprinz of Belleville, IL;
a great-grandchild, Brodie Wierciszewski;
a brother, Arthur C. Vernier of Belleville, IL;
two sisters, Janice C. Miller of Belleville, IL, and Bonnie Mae (Richard) Rujawitz, of Belleville, IL;
a brother-in-law, Paul Zollner of Belleville, IL;
and nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Funeral procession will leave at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2021, from George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, for a12 noon Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Fr. Christopher Anyanwu and Msgr. William McGhee concelebrating.
Burial will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
