Mrs. Belz was an active member of St. Philip’s Catholic Parish, St. Luke’s Sodality and Quilters Club, and the St. Clair Women’s Club.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Belz; her parents, Hugh and Pearl, nee Louvier, Waldron; a son, Eddie Joe Belz; and a son-in-law, Terry Moore.
Surviving are her four children, Betty (Bill) Moore Metzger,
Philip Belz, Stephen “Tip” Belz, and Tina (Jeff) Melton;
seven grandchildren,
Michelle (Ed) Scognamiglio, Stacey (Dennis) Cooper,
Patrick (Lisa) Moore, Matthew Belz, Julia Belz,
Dolan Melton, and Steven Melton;
five great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Grace, Jake, Claire and Devitt;
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Norma will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends for her homespun words of wisdom, warm & friendly personality, sage advice, creative phrases, and “the patience of 10 saints!”
Memorials may be made to the Poor Clare’s Monastery in Belleville, IL. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.
Visitation: Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2017, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral procession will leave at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2017, from the funeral home to St. Luke’s Catholic Church for an 11a.m. Mass of Christian Burial.
Cremation will follow the services.
