Norma was a huge part of my life. She started helping my mom when I was 4 and I knew her for 45 years. What stands out is her resilience and her intellect. She was raised in a Catholic orphanage in England that she described as cruel and abusive. She moved to the US at 18 and created a new life. She was incredibly smart and a voracious reader. She held her own opinions. In a different time with different circumstance she could have done anything she wanted professionally. She was capable and resilient. She lived a modest life and formed real, lasting friendships. She raised her two sons on her own and she is survived my several grandchildren. I admired and respected Norma for who she was and I will miss her.

Norma was one of the original members our British Club. We loved hearing her stories and having a cup of tea with her. Norma was a lovely soul and will be sadly missed.
