Norma’s life brought joy to those who knew her. She brought kindness and enthusiasm into her every endeavor – as a cherished daughter, a St. Teresa High School drama student, a lover of theater, a member of Queen of Peace and St. James parishes, a pinochle and euchre enthusiast, a caring friend, a thoughtful neighbor, a world traveler, a tennis, volleyball and pickleball athlete, a family float trip and vacation-loving adventurer or as the supportive cheerleader for ALL of her children and grandchildren’s activities.
What will be most cherished about Norma was her adoration and love for her family. She showed her children how to live honestly, love unconditionally and know that love is love. She taught her family, through her every action, what goodness and kindness looks like. She was a mother and grandmother like no other. She demonstrated daily the love and support that each of her offspring now carry forth into the world.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynne Bedwell; and her parents, William and Frances, nee Schutzenhofer, Travis.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen McAleenan;
two sons, Kevin McAleenan and Mike McAleenan;
a son-in-law, Jim Bedwell III;
nine grandchildren, Jim Bedwell IV (Kristen Palm and children, Ava and RJ),
Samantha (Zachary) Hernandez, Ciara (Michael) Sampson,
